Shapes and materials of the project, signed by important Tuscan architects, are inspired by the historic and architectural identity of Tuscan countryside. The chimney around which the entire Borgo evolves embellishes the
aesthetic
of the square and the shared gardens.
|
The land is a historical site where there was a brick-kiln
in the beginning of the 900th century: the characteristic
brick chimney will stand (h 36 mt) together with the
old stone oven refurbished in the centre
of a communal square with children's playground. |
The land is located in the Campaldino flat, where the
historic battle between Guelfi and Ghibellini described
by Dante Alighieri took place. From here we see the
castle of Conti Guidi that is on a hill overlooking
the village of Poppi. Poppi is a member of the Club
"I Borghi più belli d'Italia"
(the most beautiful villages of Italy ). |
Borgo
la Fornace is located in the medieval town of Poppi
in Tuscan countryside 50 min from Florence: 9 detached
villas of 5-6 apartments of various sizes with garage,
tavernas, private gardens and terraces. |
Five minutes away is the nine hole
Golf Club Casentino, with plans to develope 18 holes next
year. |
